About

Silver City Street Outreach exists to meet people where they are—on the streets—with compassion, dignity, and respect. Silver City Street Outreach provides low‑barrier, peer‑led services for unhoused and marginalized community members in Grant County. Our primary programs include safer use supplies and community‑based harm reduction, naloxone distribution, and overdose prevention education; mobile street outreach; basic street medicine and wound care; peer support and navigation to health, recovery, housing, and social services; and operation of a drop-in center offering safe daytime shelter, food, and hot beverages. Our programs are grounded in harm reduction, dignity, and lived experience, meeting people where they are and responding to urgent public health and safety needs in a rural setting.
