Las Vegas First Community Services Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to advance the economic vitality and to support the rich history and culture of Las Vegas, New Mexico, and the surrounding area. The foundation promotes local businesses, tourism, and education, celebrating the community's local art, music, architecture, history, and outdoor recreation.
The organization grew out of Las Vegas First, which began as the Las Vegas First Independent Business Alliance, a voluntary association of independently owned businesses in and around Las Vegas that has existed since the early 1990s. In 2020, the organization expanded its scope by establishing Las Vegas First Community Services Foundation as a charitable nonprofit, broadening its mission beyond business advocacy.
The foundation supports the local economy and small businesses while promoting cultural tourism, recognizing the value of the area's artists, musicians, historic architecture, and natural surroundings. By celebrating and promoting these assets, it works to attract visitors and to strengthen the community's economic and cultural life.
